CUSTOM ORDERS


Thank you for your interest in a custom piece of jewelry.  I take on a small number of custom orders on monthly.  Please read ALL of the information below for an idea of how my custom process works and the kind of custom projects I am able to work on at this time.  If you are interested in a custom piece of jewelry,  fill out the form below, and when I am ready to start working on new customs I will reach out to you in the order of the requests that I've received.
Considerations/Terms

I typically only take on custom orders for designs I have previously-made with a little room for variation.  As an artist, I prefer to make creations that match my personal style and will not copy or recreate another jeweler’s work.  If you aren’t already familiar, feel free to browse my instagram (@madmademetals) gallery for photos of my past work.

 
I am NOT able to accept customer supplied stones at this time.  I only work with stones in my personal collection as I have hand selected them and am sure of their quality. I have a wide variety of stones for you to chose from for your custom order. If you are wanting a stone that I do not currently have in stock and stones need to be special ordered, this will substantially increase the price of the custom order. 

Payment/Pricing

All custom orders require a deposit of $100 before I can begin work on them.  Should you decide you no longer want a custom piece of jewelry, you can cancel your order and receive a partial refund of your deposit at any point before production begins.  The refunded amount will be equal to your deposit minus the number of hours spent discussing our order at a rate of $20/hr. 

Turnaround time is typically 3-6 weeks but can be longer in circumstances where special materials need to be ordered. Custom orders are added to the production schedule in the order that payments are received.

When the piece is finished, a photo will be sent to the customer along with the final balance. Pricing is calculated based on the weight of the silver used in the final piece along with other materials and time required to make the item. Final payment will be required before the item is shipped. If the final balance payment is not received within 30 days after the it is completed and the customer has been notified, the item will be offered to the public and the deposit will not be refunded. This policy is strict so please be prepared to pay your balance promptly.

Please be sure that you are confident in the ring size before ordering! The size cannot be adjusted once the piece is complete! If resizing is required, the entire piece must be deconstructed and rebuilt and there will be a $100 charge for this service.
